He carries a Desert Eagle and has a PDA note that gives a few details as to why he's in the Zone and also about his past. His body can be found in Wild Territory, in an underground tunnel where the family rifle is. Cause of death is unknown, but it is possible it was due to an Emission or Electro anomalies. He died in late April 2012 in an underground tunnel in the Wild Territory. As an experienced gunfighter and scientist, Gordon Freeman is very much a capable fighter despite his scientist background.
